Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today, I will be doing a full preview of the Love, Life, & Happiness Recap that is currently on my Patreon page. The focus is on Redemption, which delves into Nathan’s story.

Nathan is not only Riana’s ex-boyfriend but also Shawn and Marcus’ cousin. Through this story, we gain insight into his life and the challenges he faces. It also explores past incidents from the series, but from Nathan’s perspective. We witness the scandal that led to Riana and Nathan’s breakup, his plan with Shawn, and even the incident involving him and Jayden. Each of these events is presented through Nathan’s eyes. Additionally, the story delves into his evolving relationship with Rachel and the painful one with his parents, where he uncovers a long-buried secret.
With Redemption, it was a surprise for the readers because I had no intention of writing a book from Nathan’s perspective. I thought he didn’t need a story because he was essentially the series’ villain. However, in reality, his story needed to be told, primarily because Nathan was the character that people never perceived him to be. In fact, he was just a lost person trying to find his way in the world. He was also somewhat misunderstood.
As for his parents, his mother, Selena, was quite a character. I believed her and Jackie were tied for the Mother of the Year award for their differing views on motherhood. However, as the story unfolded, we came to understand the reasons behind Selena’s behavior, which was quite disturbing.
Nathan had the opportunity to showcase his good qualities throughout the series, but he chose to be the opposite, which created good drama but primarily served his own protection and emotional needs.
He is mentioned in the LLH universe in the spin-offs. He is even featured in Cheryl and Marcus’ second story, Believe In Love, where he is about to get married to Rachel.
Here is an excerpt from the story. which is the prologue. Enjoy.
I stared at myself in the mirror, taking in the hurt and sorrow in my eyes. For 22 years, I didn't understand why my eyes always looked this way until today. Now, I could see that all of the issues I'd faced and the hurt I'd caused led to the one good thing in my life slipping away. When I was in high school, I was young and foolish. I'm still young, but I've finally wised up. I had created a persona, trying to be someone who made everyone happy, including my parents.
Never could I have imagined that the one person I was hurting most was myself. I didn't have a leg to stand on. I did what I could to get the approval and the love that I longed for. And in the long run, it bit me in the ass.
As I continued to stare at my reflection, I realized that my life could have been more enjoyable if I'd actually lived, if I'd stood up for myself and lived for myself and not anyone else.
Now, I'm ready to take back everything that I have lost. It's time to redeem myself from everything that I have done...
