Born in Detroit, MI raised in Long Beach, CA, Genesis’s over active imagination often got her into a lot of trouble in her household. When she wasn’t outside causing havoc, you could find her in her room reading, writing, or drawing. Her love for art ultimately took over once she entered middle school, which caused her love for writing to come to a screeching halt. Once Genesis graduated from High School and entered college, her passion for writing came back and she’s been doing it ever since. Whenever she wasn’t studying for exams, doing homework, or working, you could find her writing in one of the many journals she had laying around.
Her dreams of becoming a writer became reality in December 2014 when she self – published her FIVE star debut novel All or Nothing: Truly Loving Destiny. (Which is NOW available on Amazon.com).. Since then, Genesis has gone on to complete two series; What Bae Won’t Do The Next Man Will and her more popular series Black Love White Love which is a BWWM Romance.
Genesis currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with her 2 beautiful daughters and is currently working on a few books which are do to be out late April..Early May..

1. Besides writing, what else do you like to do?
Besides writing, I like to dip into the artsy/DIY side of me…I have a Banner/Party Decoration company that keeps me pretty busy….
2. What inspired you to become an author?
Wanting people to hear my story and relate to them inspired me to be a writer…I know majority of the books have the same storyline…Girl meets boy…Girl falls in love…Boy cheats on girl…Girl leaves…Boy gets some act right…Then girl takes him back…Although they are the same, the reactions and consequences are different…And I wanted people to see that with my stories…
3. What was your first reaction when your debut novel was published?
Honestly…My first reaction to being published was like…”This shit is going to be harder than I thought…” You actually have to get out here and make people want to read your books…When you’re a new author, some people will make the decision to NOT give you a chance because they aren’t to sure about your work…I hope to be a household name someday…
4. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In the next five years, I hope I have at least 20 to 30 books under my name…I hope to be a trending topic in book clubs all over the world….and I hope that I’m able to make a better life for my kids by doing something as simple as sharing my life with the readers…
5. What advice can you give to anyone who wants to become an author?
The only advice I would give is to KEEP GOING NO MATTER WHAT…People are going to criticize your work (bad), hate on you, and even start crazy ass beefs…Just try to put all of the bullshit on the side…Keep it professional…And don’t ever let the opinion of someone who DOESN’T know your struggle bring you down….
