31 Days, 31 Authors- Crystal Alexis

Hi everyone! The 31 Days, 31 Authors event continues with Crystal Alexis! I have to say, Crystal is multitalented! Not only is she an author, but also is a co-host of a radio show, co-founder of her own magazine, and started her own company last year, Sizzling Sassy Productions, which targets social media promotion. She is truly building a brand, making herself known in all areas of the literary industry.

Now, here’s Crystal! 🙂

Crystal Alexis was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where she attended Richards Career Academy. While in school, she aspired to become an accountant, however she earned a degree in Automotive Technology and several certificates in Pharmacy Technology and Bill Collecting. Crystal spent a few years as manager of Jeffy Lube.

After years of reading and running a book club, she grew a passion for writing. In 2013 she signed to Creative Flow Publications, where she published Social Deception 1 & 2. In 2014 Crystal became a member of K Ellis Publications and part owner of SWAG Presents with Yara Kaleemah. She also was co-host of Gossip Village Radio and took part in developing “Please Don’t Kill Me: An Anthology against Domestic Violence.” as well as, Co-founded fE Mag.

Though Crystal’s greatest joy comes from being an outstanding mother to her two children, Tres’ore and Jalil, and being a caregiver to her mother, she would say that writing has changed her life. In 2015 Crystal signed under Racquel Williams Presents/Leo Sullivan Productions. Crystal Alexis recently released her 7th masterpiece, Treacherous Deadly Intent. In 2015 she branched out on her own, and started her own business, Sizzling Sassy Productions.

Currently she is self published, and is deemed one of the best book promoters in the literary industry.

Excerpt from Treacherous, Deadly Intent:

Chapter Seven ~ Treach

Damn, Ms. Lady was sitting here, crying her pretty little eyes out. It was crazy as hell because I had actually started to like her. I hated when shit like that happened. I was actually on a mission. In the meantime though, I was going to sit back and go with the flow. I was looking for a woman.

From what Ms. Lady told me, she was the kind I needed. I was getting older, and I was ready to settle down. Shit, running with different women got old after so long. I was ready to wife me a good woman and make her have my kids, and she wouldn’t have to work or want for nothing. On my momma.

“Damn, Ma. Your girl didn’t tell me all that about you. It’s cool though. Shit, I have a past too. I ain’t ‘bout that life no more though; I’m on my grown man shit. I’ve done it all, and I’ve had it all, as far as materialistic shit goes. I’m ready to settle down though. It ain’t no future in being a drug supplier and fucking with thots. Thots ain’t loyal. Real talk though. I like you, Azuri.

“I like you too, Treach,” she said, smiling and glancing at her watch. “It’s late; let me take my ass home.”
